Triple Crown Sports Announces
Cancun Challenge Field
July 8, 2010 – Cancun Challenge organizers announced the official tournament lineup and pairings for this fall’s Division I men’s basketball event in Cancun, Mexico.

The Cancun Challenge features eight men’s DI college basketball teams and includes eight games played in the U.S., and eight games played at the all-inclusive Aventura Palace Resort.

LaSalle, Missouri, Providence, and Wyoming, headline the host teams field and are joined by Morgan State, North Florida, Prairie View A&M, and Western Illinois.

This exclusive tournament is comprised of four host teams (LaSalle, Missouri, Providence, and Wyoming) who will host two games each in their home arenas, then play each other for two games in Cancun on Nov. 23-24. The four visiting teams will travel to U.S. games, then play two games against each other in Cancun. Pairings for all games in the U.S. and Mexico are announced below.

Due to the limited seating for games in Cancun, the only guaranteed admission into the Cancun games is through the booking of a lodging and admission package through Triple Crown Sports. For information on admission packages, contact Melissa Koza at 970-672-0567 or Melissa@triplecrownsports.com or visit the event website for details at www.cancunchallenge.net.

Should seating still be available later this fall, separate all-tournament passes will be made available October 1 for $260. This pass will provide admission to all eight tournament games. For individuals staying at another resort, a separate $85 resort day pass is charged by the Aventura Spa Resort, and includes unlimited access to the resort’s restaurants and other facilities.

For admission to games in the United States, contact the host school’s ticket office.

The Cancun Challenge is owned and produced by Fort Collins, Colo.-based Triple Crown Sports, which also organizes women’s college basketball tournaments in Cancun. Triple Crown coordinates the Preseason and Postseason Women’s NIT as well.

Admission to basketball games in Cancun is only available through the purchase of a Triple Crown fan package.   In late Sept., should space be available, all tournament passes will be made available.   Those looking to stay at another property will be required to purchase a $85 per day pass from Aventura Palace resort which covers access to the resort restaurants, bars and other facilities.
